The new Formula Color hand held terminal reinforces Datalogic's professional line of mobile computers, and is based on in-depth research to find the best design with a simplified user interface to reduce operator fatigue and make daily activities easier. The result is the Formula Color, which is easy to handle, well balanced and ergonomically shaped to offer operators a winning combination of a pocked-sized mobile computer and one-handed control.
With its special features including intuitive user interface and colour display, the Formula Color mobile computer makes typical data collection operations in Warehouse Management Systems and In-Store applications easier, such as goods shipping/receiving, inventory, picking, shelf replenishment and shelf price verification.
In fact, the Formula Color is the first mobile computer in its class to provide a large, graphic colour display, ideal for indoor and outdoor use to help operators work better. Visibility can be improved by adjusting the display contrast and using the LED backlight, while 16 different colours can be used for texts and backgrounds.
Furthermore, the Formula Color is the first mobile computer to feature the Datalogic patented "green spot" for good-read feedback on the code where the user tends to be looking, making bar code reading operations even easier, especially in noisy environments.
In addition, it has a practical 30-button keypad which provides users with a familiar interface to enter data, codes and descriptions, because it is similar to that of mobile-phones. The two enter keys facilitate data confirmation for both right-handed and left-handed operators.

Furthermore, the Formula Color is provided with industrial protection so that it is also suitable for any harsh environments in which it is used. In fact, it resists multiple drops from 1.5 m onto concrete surfaces and is completely protected from dust and water (IP64).
The Formula Color is equipped with a miniature laser scanning engine for outstanding bar code data capture. To support long-term scan-intensive warehousing operations it has a removable/rechargeable long-lasting Li-ION high power battery pack, for autonomy of over a double work shift.
Fast data computing is performed by the powerful hardware platform, based on PC technology, supported by the oversized standard memory: 8MB RAM + 8MB Flash that can be upgraded to 512MB by means of a standard compact flash memory card.
It is compatible with most of Datalogics software tools, such as DL Mobile Configurator, DL Keep Connecting, DL TN Link, DL Web-Link and MCL Collection Suite for programming, monitoring and configuration operations.
