Among the industry sectors that stand to achieve the greatest benefit from voice are those operating in highly competitive environments that are under pressure to maximize supply chain efficiency, and ultimately profits. Grocery, food service, retail distribution, wholesale distribution, pharmaceutical and third party logistics companies (3PLs) all fall into this category.
"Within all of these sectors, the financial case for voice in the warehouse is extremely compelling," explained Wheeler. "Consider order picking, for example. When pickers are able to work hands-free, eyes free, talking directly with the warehouse management system as they move around the warehouse floor, speed, accuracy and productivity gains are substantial."
Vocollect's flagship Talkman T2 voice system, which can either replace or enhance existing warehouse procedures, typically delivers productivity gains of between ten and 30 percent, accuracy rates of 99.99 percent and a return on investment (ROI) of approximately six to nine months.
"A strong business economy and high standard of living in the Nordic countries contribute to marketplace rivalry, making a solution with proven cost benefits such as the Talkman system, that can offer organisations a distinct competitive edge, extremely appealing," said Greg Tanner, managing director of Vocollect Europe.
The Talkman T2 is available immediately through Vocollect's network of accredited channel partners.
