RedPrairie Corporation, a global leader in supply chain technology solutions that drive business process transformation, announced at Distribution/Computer Expo the release of DLx MRM, a web-based solution for the tracking and management of mobile assets. The solution enables companies to more effectively track assets, increasing asset utilisation, reducing loss and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
DLx MRM supports the identification and monitoring of mobile resources and their status, using bar code, RFID and other advanced sensory devices, to provide real-time visibility on asset location, status and other key indicators. The solution enables fleets of returnable pallets and containers, equipment, trailers and other high-value assets to be more effectively managed and controlled, reducing loss and investment in replacements.
RedPrairie Company Leader John Jazwiec says, The release of DLx MRM enforces our commitment to global end-to-end solutions for supply chain management and further strengthens our position in the RFID-related applications market. As the leading world-wide provider of supply chain execution systems, mobile resource management is a natural extension to our solutions platform for distribution and logistics.
Michael Dempsey, Company Strategy Leader at RedPrairie, commented, The development of DLx MRM was driven by our customers needs to more effectively manage their mobile assets across the global supply chain. Combined with RedPrairies security and supply chain condition monitoring capabilities, DLx MRM is a powerful tool for increasing supply chain velocity and reducing asset loss.
