Europa Worldwide Group, one of the largest privately owned transport and logistics firms, has implemented Masternaut Connect to create a connected fleet workforce, which will improve scheduling, enhance customer service, and allow for further growth and expansion.

Masternaut Connect has been installed in more than 200 trailers across Europe, ensuring Europa can share live information with its sub-contractors. This allows for improved fleet visibility and management, and provides customers with improved service information.

Masternaut Connect offers an advanced API solution that allows simple integration with any system, meaning Europa can effortlessly link Connect with its overall transport management suite. Europa can now work faster and smarter with a fully-connected workforce, ensuring they can improve customer service even further, with quicker turnarounds and more detailed scheduling.

Masternaut's advanced API lets fleet managers spend less time providing other departments with information, allowing them to concentrate on managing the fleet. Masternaut Connect provides location data to automatically calculate scheduling of jobs, and populate dispatch systems with live vehicle locations.

Europa's Dartford branch uses screens showing Masternaut's system within the office, ensuring staff have full visibility of where trailers are. Europa's hubs have been geofenced so alerts are issued that keep depots better informed, so that they are ready to receive trailers. This transparency is improving operational efficiency by helping production, scheduling, unloading and reloading.

Richard Litchfield, group IT director, Europa Worldwide Group, said "We met with and trialed a number of suppliers and Masternaut immediately understood our requirements and business objectives, particularly around our API needs. We've built a great relationship with Masternaut, and the Connect platform provided the right solution that fits all our needs, is cost effective and has the scope to build out into other areas in the future."

Steve Towe, chief operating officer and UK managing director, Masternaut, said "Many companies have yet to recognise the value their telematics data can bring to other business segments, including trailer tracking. The data it generates should not just be useful for the operations or fleet team, it's essential. Telematics is becoming much more embedded in the way fleets are managed, and Europa is taking that one step further, enabling communication of that data across multiple business systems. The advanced API offered by Masternaut Connect ensures that data can be managed and shared across the business effortlessly, which can help to improve communications and customer service."
