Two-man delivery specialist Panther Warehousing has clinched a new home delivery contract with home appliance company BSH Home Appliances Ltd in the UK."

The move means that Panther is now making over 1,000 deliveries a week for BSH Home Appliances following a successful trial involving a number of selected postcode areas.

Under the multi-year contract Panther is supplying a complete end-to-end logistics service for BSH, including managing all orders and handling customer booking calls as well as collecting goods and trunking.

Panther's unique two-man home delivery service is part of the package for BSH, along with installing and connecting customers' dishwashers and washing machines and removing scrap in line with the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive.

In addition, Panther will be providing support to the BSH service team and taking control of customer exchanges. Panther also makes contact with customers after their delivery to make sure that they are 100% satisfied with their experience.

BSH's Director of Supply Chain, Joe O'Sullivan, says that BSH has been impressed by Panther's recent expansion and investment in the business, demonstrating the company's commitment and credibility in the home delivery sector.

"It was vital that we selected a partner that we could work closely with in order to ensure service quality," says O'Sullivan.

"For us, the focus and concentration of service quality delivered through Panther's people and its innovative technology differentiates it from many of the other home delivery providers in the marketplace," he adds.

Panther has performed "exceptionally well" so far during the transfer of the business, which took place in three stages over a six month period, says O'Sullivan, and BSH will continue to monitor the service to ensure these high standards are maintained.

Panther's Business Development Craig Kavanagh says: "This long-term commitment from BSH recognises our solid reputation for excellent customer care along with our ability to provide an effective home delivery service that is unmatched in the industry. The contract confirms and strengthens our market-leading position in the two-man specialist home delivery sector."

Panther has experienced exponential growth over the last few years – its dedicated white-glove delivery service has proved so popular with customers that turnover has nearly nearly trebled from £11 million in 2012 to a projected £30 million in 2015.
