r2c Online, the company responsible for a platform to manage commercial fleet compliance and maintenance, has been shortlisted for the Technology Initiative of the Year at the Commercial Fleet Awards 2015, an event dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best of the commercial transport industry.

Fleet compliance is one of the number one objectives for transport operators and for commercial vehicle fleets this means regular service inspections and defect reporting. In the past it has meant a substantial amount of paper work and administration, but r2c Online – or 'Road 2 Compliance' – has revolutionised the efficiency and accuracy of the compliance management process.

Unique features such as electronic service schedules, digital driver pre-use checks and an online asset compliance file, allow users of the system to save time and money on their compliance management and defect reporting. Nick Walls, Managing Director of r2c Online commented on their award nomination, "There is no other system which can offer what r2c Online does and that is why we refer to our product as 'the compliance efficiency revolution'".

To date there are 10,000 commercial vehicle fleets and 500 workshops using the software and with a blue chip customer base including The Co-Operative, Ryder and Dairycrest, r2c Online has fast become the industry standard for compliance management.

Walls continued, "This award nomination is the result of 12 years of hard work and investment in our technology, as part of our ambition to become the de facto compliance management solution for the transport sector. The nomination is in recognition of the work of all the team here and I am very proud. We're delighted to be nominated and if we win we'll be over the moon!"

The award winners will be announced at the annual black tie ceremony which will be held on Thursday 24th September at The International Centre in Telford.
