Cognito has announced that the Cognito iQ Intelligent Mobile Workflow (IMW) cross-platform application is available on Zebra's rugged TC75 Android device.

Cognito iQ IMW enables fieldworkers to complete their day's tasks more efficiently and effectively, and gives Service Managers real-time visibility of what's really happening in the field. This results in significant reductions in time spent on administration, fewer errors and improved service delivery. Zebra handsets are a popular choice amongst Cognito customers, to equip engineers and technicians in the field.

Cognito is a leading Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partner of Zebra, following its acquisition of the Enterprise business of Motorola Solutions.

"Our field service applications are business critical so it is crucial to have rugged devices that can be relied upon," says Cognito CEO, Laurent Othacéhé. "I'm happy to see our long-standing relationship continue under the new Zebra brand."

UK boiler manufacturer Baxi has supplied its engineers with Zebra handsets as part of its Cognito iQ field service solution. Steve Randall from Baxi Customer Support explains:

"The Cognito solution is integrated into everything we do as a business. It helps us to ensure that we are providing effective duty of care to our engineers and provides us with information that can help us fix our customers problems quickly and efficiently, which is absolutely essential to meeting their needs."

Fieldworkers need a mobile device that can withstand tough working environments. Zebra's Android-based TC55 has a hard-wearing exterior, long battery life and a touch-screen interface. It comes with a barcode reader, camera, video recorder and Near Field Communication capability and, as such, combines the durability and data capabilities of an enterprise device with the lightness and sophistication of a smartphone. The TC75, launched in May 2015, offers the same benefits, but with a larger screen, an even more rugged design and extra features, including WWAN
