Bow manufacturer and online archery accessory retailer, Merlin Archery, has teamed up with SaaS warehouse management system provider Snapfulfil in order to streamline its warehouse and fulfilment operations.
Rapid growth in sales in recent years at Merlin Archery has seen the company outgrow its existing warehouse management system, leading to sub-optimal operational efficiency.
Snapfulfil will integrate with Merlin's order processing software, providing full visibility of all orders from receipt to despatch. The system will also improve stock accuracy, inventory control and pick accuracy, ensuring that Merlin's customers always receive the right item and providing a solid platform for the company's continued sales growth, including the opening of a new retail outlet within Merlin's head office facility in Loughborough. The added value features of Snapfulfil will also support Merlin's complex build-to-order process, providing visibility of both component parts and finished goods in real-time.
Merlin Archery director Ben Jones explains: "Implementing the Snapfulfil system will have a dramatic impact on the way we run the warehouse and also for our warehouse staff and their working day. One of the many benefits of Snapfulfil is that it facilitates resource planning, allowing tracking of operatives collectively as they manage orders. This makes it easier to identify particular areas where there are frequently occurring problems, so that changes can be made to operatives' working practices to help them work more efficiently."
He continues: "We are about to open a new retail outlet within our head office facility in Loughborough and it is imperative that we have accurate stock control for this part of the business from day one. Snapfulfil will provide this."
Ben Jones adds: "Another feature of the Snapfulfil WMS that particularly appealed to us was how quickly the system could be implemented and the low cost of ownership offered by the No Capex business model and fully managed service paid monthly."
Snapfulfil is helping an increasing number of fast-growing eCommerce businesses to streamline their fulfilment operations, typically improving operational efficiency by up to 30% and helping retailers and their logistics partners to deliver excellent service, in line with ever higher customer expectations.
