BEC (Systems Integration) Ltd, a leading UK-based supplier of data capture solutions for supply chain logistics and manufacturing, has won a highly sought after warehouse data capture contract with Raleigh, the nation's leading bike and cycle accessory manufacturer.
As the only bicycle brand appearing in the UK's Superbrands list and with a rich history in bicycle production, Raleigh distributes in excess of several million pounds' worth of bikes and accessories from its warehousing facility in Nottingham.
Having previously used a paper-based system to record goods in, put-away, stock movement and stock count, BEC has been working with Raleigh in order to automate the warehouse in its entirety.
The system now uses Honeywell CK3 mobile computers and cordless 3820 imagers in conjunction with BEC's own eSmart® Warehouse software. The new solution enables Raleigh to capture and record data for these mission-critical applications, helping to reduce inventory inaccuracies, improve upon efficiency, maximise throughput and streamline overall business processes.
