Quintiq, the supply chain planning and optimisation (SCP&O) solutions provider, has announced that Carlsberg China has chosen its software to provide an integrated business planning solution.
The Quintiq software platform covers Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Detailed Scheduling. The solution will support Carlsberg China's business and will be implemented across 41 breweries.
The execution of plans via MPS for stock-level control will be linked to Detailed Scheduling to optimize productivity. The new solution will increase visibility and transparency on all planning and scheduling decisions from raw materials, brewing, tanks and filling lines to packaging. Aided by KPI dashboards, planners will receive support for faster decision making process, to control, reduce risks, analyse and manage change.
"Under this new agreement, the Quintiq solution roll-out will commence in phases, beginning with S&OP, followed by MPS and then Detailed Scheduling across each brewery in China. This approach will enable Carlsberg to have a single, transparent view of all its operations within China," said Arjen Heeres, Chief Operating Officer, Quintiq.
