For the first time ever, Intermodal Europe 2014 will be co-located with Transport & Logistics Rotterdam, increasing the opportunity for visitors and exhibitors to do business and meet new contacts.

"There is a strong crossover between both Intermodal Europe and Transport & Logistics events," explains Sophie Ahmed, Event Director. "By co-locating we are offering a number of additional benefits to visitors and exhibitors of both events, and there is more spending power than ever."

Together, the two events, which take place from 11-13 November at the Rotterdam Ahoy, are expected to draw 8,000 to 10,000 visitors.

Free to attend conference sessions at both events will be led by high profile speakers sharing industry knowledge and experience. The invaluable sessions will cover important topics for the container and intermodal industry, with question and answer sessions creating an interactive forum for the audience.

"Many companies use Intermodal Europe as a platform to reconnect with customers, prospects and industry peers, all under one roof," adds Sophie Ahmed. "The free conference sessions are a valuable opportunity for delegates to learn about developments in the industry, and to discuss current challenges and solutions with industry specialists."

Feature conference sessions at Intermodal Europe 2014 will include a workshop about shipping and freight forwarding, a container forum, intermodal market trends, and a spotlight on Asia, as well as two technology forums. The Transport & Logistics programme also includes a variety of seminars, practical demonstrations and International trade missions.

Intermodal Europe 2014 will also be working with the Port of Rotterdam. A representative from the port will present a conference session, discussing IT as key element for the future growth of ports and intermodal transport. A port tour will also take place on day two of the exhibition.

Intermodal Europe is widely considered one of the most important events in the container shipping and transport calendar. Home to Europe's largest container port, Rotterdam is a key destination city with many cultural and architectural highlights and has been rated one of the best cities in the world to visit in 2014.

Transport & Logistics focuses on some specific sector segments, including multimodal and logistics service providers, warehousing and material handling, ports and shipping, as well as IT and Services.
