Datamax-O'Neil, manufacturer of stationary, vehicle mount, portable label and receipt printers has, introduced the p1725 Performance Series printer which offers 7-inch wide label printing and offers a patented design that simplifies setup, operation, media loading and integration. The p1725 automatically adjusts itself to maximise print quality and increase printhead life, while the colour touchscreen display eases daily operation and maintenance. The unique auto-load feature virtually eliminates label waste, and by utilising the industry standard HP compatible PCL print language and Linux operating system, the p1725 is easily integrated into SAP and other ERP network environments.

The p1725 is the ideal printer to meet the diverse requirements for compliance, manufacturing, logistics/warehouse, healthcare and retail applications. "There is an increasing need for wide-width label printers that are easy to use, load and integrate and the p1725 has been designed from the ground up to meet these requirements and print the high quality labels these applications demand," said Ken Colonel, Datamax-O'Neil's director of product development. "The p1725's innovative features provide cost savings because it reduces operator setup, integration and maintenance requirements, and provides for 'zero label waste', all at a very competitive price point."

The p1725 is the newest member of Datamax-O'Neil's Performance Series, a family of printers designed to resolve a number of issues customers have had with thermal printers for many years. The result is a printer family that is the easiest to load, easiest to use and easiest to integrate of any thermal printers available anywhere. "The Performance Series printers are ideal for customers that are conscious of their total cost of ownership and realise that value is more than the price of the product, but extends through the entire life cycle of the printer," Colonel said. "The p1725 moves up the bar for wide-width printers and helps solidify the Performance Series as today's benchmark for industrial printers."
