Yukatel GmbH's Routecontrol Easy 6 positioning system enables transportation and logistics managers, along with construction companies, courier services, taxi operators and private tradesmen to track and trace their vehicles in real time.

Not only can they optimise routes, reduce idle times, and increase order volumes, but fleet managers can also see at a glance where their vehicles are at any time and whether they can take on an extra order without having to make a major detour.

The core of the telematics solution is a 97 x 67 x 25 mm and 200 g Routecon box (RC22) that comes with inter alia, a Deutsche Telekom M2M SIM card and a GPS and GPM antenna. The Routecon box, which comes with assembly instructions, is connected to the vehicle's battery and built into the trunk or the front of the vehicle. It relays the vehicle data to the Yukatel server and customers can then check the relevant data in a password-protected online portal.

The cost of data transmission and the use of the positioning device and the online portal is €22 per month, plus VAT. The customer must also pay a deposit of €249 to secure the Routecon box for a minimum contract term of six months.

Routecontrol Easy 6 is available now via Deutsche Telekom's M2M Marketplace, a platform for manufacturers and dealers from around the world to offer their hardware, software, apps and full-package solutions relating to M2M communication.
