NetDespatch, the supplier of IT integration solutions for shippers and their postal and parcel carriers, has continued to buck the economic trend after announcing that transactions using its web services once again doubled in 2012.

While business on the High Streets continues to falter, the online market has never been stronger with British shoppers spending 12 percent more year-on-year in 2012, making the estimated value of the UK online retail market £78 billion last year.

NetDespatch's web based IT solutions enable postal and parcel carriers to on-board their customers very quickly, offering them seamless integration of their despatch operations with retailers, mail order companies and manufacturers. In addition the use of 'intelligent' vendor selection allows the carriers clients to automatically print the correct labels for international delivery, and transmit the data on to their partners worldwide.

Postal and parcel carriers across the globe are now realising the benefits of Software as a Service solutions, such as those provided by NetDespatch. This is reflected in recent research which estimates that the worldwide use of SaaS solutions will continue to grow, with a 20 percent increase predicted for 2013.

Now estimated to be used by more than 90,000 retailers worldwide, NetDespatch's web technology combines increased operational efficiency with the production of correctly addressed and routed carrier labels. This provides a cost-effective and efficient solution for those looking to expand into the international arena as well as maximising efficiency in domestic operations.

NetDespatch provides a fully managed processing platform offering easy to use web-based software tools and services connecting warehouse and order processing systems, such as eSellerpro, Maginus and Magento, directly and securely to the NetDespatch servers. The same despatch and delivery data is then forwarded to the selected postal or parcel carrier, and their international partners, ensuring that information is entered just once and that parcels arrive on time.

"2012 was a great year for NetDespatch and our customers. Our services allow retailers, mail order companies and manufacturers to process peak volumes without any IT restrictions, and by making online despatch, labelling and tracking so easy it is helping businesses of all sizes to become more competitive and grow. The strength of our market is demonstrated by the figures that predict Software as a Service solutions to grow to $12 billion this year and to over $21 billion by 2015," commented Becky Clark, CEO of NetDespatch.
