LogiXML, the embedded analytics solutions provider, has announced that Crane Pumps & Systems (CP&S) used Logi Info to provide integrated analytics to their operations and finance departments, streamlining the company's inventory management processes, reducing its IT burden, and improving its competitiveness in the market.

CP&S was using a legacy ERP system that was vital to their business, but difficult to pull data from. The company needed a solution that allowed them to embed analytics and reports into their legacy system and also allowed users to create their own views of key information. They selected Logi Info for its ability to easily integrate with a variety of systems and data sources, and because it enabled CP&S the flexibility to extend their deployment moving forward to build any kind of information-driven application. This allows their business to adapt more easily as business requirements and  processes evolve over time.

"Our ERP system is the heartbeat of our business, and Logi Info embedded into it with ease. Like most companies, our  IT team is stretched and we have extensive reporting requirements. We considered Cognos and Business Objects, but they didn't fit our requirements for functionality, flexibility, or cost," said Scott Brooks, eCommerce leader, CP&S. "Logi Info enabled us to better explore, analyze, and share our data, and gave us the edge we needed to expand."

Inventory management is a critical part of CP&S's business. Logi Info helped them achieve their "Just in Time" inventory goals through look-ahead logic. CP&S needs to keep their inventory quantities low, but still adequate enough to deliver on time. Through Logi Info, they are now able to see what inventory is at risk for moving into excess and obsolete, while maintaining high on-time delivery standards. Additionally, the look-ahead logic enables users to see if and how one order will affect other orders. Previously, users would just look up expenses, but now they can view everything the order will touch and see how to adjust accordingly.

Additionally, Logi Info has empowered more users to create reports for their respective departments or customer inquiries. This has freed IT from fulfilling each and every data request and has allowed them to work on development projects that help grow CP&S.

"Because of Logi Info's agility and integration capabilities, companies like CP&S are able to quickly create and adapt  Web applications that deliver critical analytics to users  within existing operational systems," said Brett Jackson, CEO, LogiXML.  "Like many of our customers, CP&S also found that they could extend Logi Info in this way to solve multiple information challenges across their entire business."

This year, LogiXML was positioned in the "challengers" quadrant of the 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report.  The Company's position was based on its ability to execute and completeness of vision as it continues to deliver on its value proposition of ease-of-use, rapid time to deployment, and embeddability.
