In March 2012, the conclusion of the European Council was to review progress and discuss how to deepen trade and investment relations with key partners in order to promote growth and jobs in Europe.

May 2012 also saw a G8 summit where the woes of the Eurozone, growth and jobs topped the agenda. Global leaders continue to strive for that illusive solution to the growing financial issues whilst at the same time looking for industry and business to deliver the growth the world economy so desperately needs.

It is for this reason that further negotiations and conclusions to free trade agreements or preferential trade agreements (PTA’s) are high on the agenda in 2012. This paper will explore free trade agreements and what organisations need to do now to prepare in order to reap the benefits of FTA qualifications.

Topics covered in this white paper include:

Trade Agreements around the world
Growing exports and expanding trade in the EU
The EU Agenda 2012
Managing Multiple Free Trade Agreements
