Infor, the provider of business application software serving more than 70,000 customers, has announced that Norris Cylinder Company, an international leader in the gas containment industry, has implemented Infor10 ERP Business (SyteLine) to promote continuity and communication throughout the enterprise.  By providing a more accessible, user-friendly application, ERP Business delivers easier data extraction and sharing to expedite daily tasks such as updating inventory information and tracking order shipments, so that products can be manufactured and delivered faster to maximise market impact and customer satisfaction.

Norris Cylinder also plans to utilise ERP Business Advanced Planning and Forecasting to help improve sales forecasting and more efficiently predict and fulfil customer demands. Infor10 ERP Business (SyteLine) facilitates faster communication and information sharing between Norris Cylinder and its parent company, TriMas Corporation, to simplify and accelerate manufacturing operations and promote visibility across the organisation.

User-friendly and straightforward, ERP Business provides Norris Cylinder employees easy access to the comprehensive information needed to perform day-to-day tasks, reducing the time previously spent searching for data within the their old system. ERP Business equips Norris Cylinder for future expansion or acquisitions by enabling the quick and efficient addition of new entities within the solution. Advanced Planning and Forecasting will enable Norris Cylinder to more efficiently anticipate customer needs and order quantities, improving inventory availability and better aligning supply and demand.

”Our customer base is comprised of distributors who typically order varying quantities of our product, so anticipating demand and knowing what inventory to stock has always been one of our biggest business challenges,” said Steve Carver, IT manager, Norris Cylinder Company. “With the Infor10 ERP Business Advanced Planning and Forecasting, we plan to build on our existing ERP system to gain increased insight into customer needs to better anticipate sales and inventory usage so that we can fill orders faster and have the right parts when they’re needed.”

“Infor10 ERP Business enables manufacturers to continuously monitor demand and update production schedules instantly so that orders are filled quickly, increasing customer satisfaction and ultimately reducing costs through improved business efficiency,” said Mark Humphlett, director of ERP Marketing, Infor. “With the same functionality in the cloud or on-premise, ERP Business enables companies to tailor the application to fit their specific needs, making it an excellent fit for any type of manufacturing facility that wants to reduce costs, whether large or small.”
