Epicor helps Nordic Cast Sourcing to streamline operations and support international growth strategy

Epicor Software Corporation, the business software solutions provider for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organisations, has announced that Nordic Cast Sourcing (NC Sourcing) has deployed the Epicor next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution to support global growth. Before implementing Epicor, NC Sourcing was only using an online accounting service to bill their partners and customers. The company's main goal was to find an easy to use, easily customizable solution that had built-in global business processes so the system would support its global expansion plans.

NC Sourcing's customer database is growing steadily and new prospects are added on a daily basis. Maintaining all the information in emails had become difficult and data was often simply lost. With Epicor, NC Sourcing can now store all prospect data in a single, easily accessible location.

NC Sourcing purchases goods from around the world; therefore, maintaining and processing purchase orders is a vital task for the company. With the Epicor reporting tools in place NC Sourcing can now accurately analyse and measure suppliers' capability to keep up order and production schedules.

Before deciding to partner with Epicor, NC Sourcing conducted a thorough evaluation process of ten different ERP suppliers from Finland and the Nordics. Out of these ten vendors, three were selected to present their solutions. "Epicor's detailed presentation and honest approach to the upgrade process convinced us that it was the right solution to go for," explained Blomstedt. "We also liked the look and feel as well as the usability of the system."
