S & P Coil Products Ltd (SPC), manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment, has invested in a fully hosted and managed ERP solution from K3. This latest order is providing a tailored SYSPRO Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which is also being maintained and supported by K3 at SPC sites in Leicester and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

The contract is yet another example of K3 Syspro and it's sister division, K3 Managed Services working together to provide a cost-effective, robust and flexible solution that will grow and adapt to SPC's business needs. SPC recognised that with the growing demand for the company's products, there was a need for a business system that provided more flexibility.

"We needed a solution that would enable the company to move forward and it was important that the software would adapt to the evolution of the company. We've seen our work volumes increase, and SYSPRO will allow us to scale up and improve our efficiencies. This is particularly important as we operate just-in-time business processes and we need these to be effective," says Ali Soomro, MIS Project Manager at SPC.

SPC chose K3 Managed Services to provide a data centre delivered solution rather than the more traditional on-site installation and IT management. This is an ideal choice for a growing company that is looking for expert management of their critical business software.

Ali Soomro explains the rational for SPC's decision. "SPC is a leading specialist HVAC manufacturer and K3 Managed Services is a leading managed services provider. We felt that it was natural to choose such a partner in delivering the IT needs of the company. Neil Homer at K3 Managed Services played a pivotal role in the selection process; his knowledge and understanding of the latest Cloud computing technology will be vital in developing the future IT landscape at SPC," he says.

"K3's SYSPRO consultancy team has displayed great knowledge throughout the project. They analysed our lean processes to understand them and have delivered a solution that matches the current needs of the company. We believe that with additional training the system can be developed further to meet all of our future targets," he adds.

SPC is a UK-based specialist manufacturer and supplier of heating and cooling equipment to the public and private sector. Its product portfolio includes heating/cooling coils, fan convectors, trench heating, radiant panels, radiant conditioning sails, heat pipes and air curtains. As a world leader in heat exchange and heat recovery, SPC can provide a complete bespoke solution and help customers with special requirements and tight project deadlines thanks to its flexible manufacturing approach.
