Ortec is once again gearing up to showcase its latest product developments at this year's international SITL trade fair in Paris, France. The exhibition, which takes place between 27-30 March in Hall 6, Paris Nord, Villepinte, is the place to find the most complete range of products and services aimed at supply, distribution and the supply chain of tomorrow. Ortec's team of consultants will be on hand at stand U69 to answer questions, perform product demos and explain how companies across a broad industry spectrum can benefit from the very latest optimisation techniques.

Intuitive reporting
Visitors to the exhibition can check out Ortec's real-time, intuitive reports that are designed to support both planners and managers to effectively steer the planning process. KPIs and target variables can be defined in the system in order to compare plans against specific benchmarks such as average load per trailer, or average transportation cost per unit loaded etc.

Accurate ETAs and real-time traffic updates
Moreover, Ortec has pioneered a new, real-time traffic congestion module that incorporates NAVTEQ's Traffic Patterns TM solution. With this advanced software, planners will be able view real-time traffic data on-screen by means of an informative, color-coded map layer, and this feature will support them to respond more effectively to the impact of road accidents, road closures, adverse weather conditions etc. By including real-time traffic data, existing route plans can be re-sequenced, ETA's can be recalculated and the end customer informed of any deviations. Companies opting for this new functionality stand to benefit from reductions in fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions, increased customer satisfaction, and a greater competitive advantage.

Optimal usability
In addition to extensive functionality, Ortec's solutions also feature optimal user interfaces. that provide a number of customizable options to optimally display, sort and analyze all types of planning data. The ability to graphically display KPIs in the planning grids and management dashboard supports enhanced decision-making. Moreover, a wide range of KPIs can be defined on a number of levels, e.g. cost per pallet, km per stop etc., to ensure the production of high quality plans.

Ortec SAP Consulting
In addition to developing advanced planning software solutions for a broad industry spectrum, Ortec also offers expert consulting services with a number of specialties, e.g. Operations Research, SAP integration, etc. As a SAP special expertise partner for Supply Chain Management, Ortec has demonstrated an exceptional level of competency in the logistics field and also in its ability to integrate its software into SAP environments.
