ASICS America implementing Lawson Fashion PLM to help support continued growth

Lawson Software, an Infor affiliate, has announced that ASICS America Corp., an athletic shoe and sports apparel manufacturer, has selected the full Lawson Fashion Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) suite. Lawson Fashion PLM will help ASICS America reduce the time-to-market for new products, improve quality and reduce overall production costs. Lawson Professional Services will lead the implementation, with project support from Lawson channel and services partner Ptex Solutions.

Based in Irvine, Calif., ASICS America is an international manufacturer of athletic shoes, technical active sports apparel and accessories. ASICS America chose Lawson Fashion PLM to help improve processes in its apparel and accessories divisions and better position itself for growth in those product segments.
"For many years, we've been looking to develop a solution for our apparel and accessories division that would help eliminate manual and ad-hoc systems," said Bill McBain, vice president of IT at ASICS America. "We also needed a solution to help create more consistency and continuity in the way we work internally and with our partners, from design and procurement to sourcing and production. Lawson Fashion PLM will help provide access to the information we need, when we need it, to help us make better business decisions and continue to expand our operations."
Lawson Fashion PLM is a web-based suite of applications for retailers and manufacturers of apparel, footwear, home textiles and accessories, that helps support the design and development of products from concept to sourcing. Lawson Fashion PLM has deep industry-specific functionality and contains more than 300 out-of-the-box forms that can be easily configured without additional coding. Using a common interface and standardized features across applications, this suite is designed to help companies manage complex processes more effectively.
