Itella Logistics selects Kewill Global Trade Management solution for Nordics, Baltics and Russian rollout

Kewill, provider of solutions that simplify global trade and logistics, has signed multi-year contract with Itella Logistics, part of Itella Group, to implement its Global Trade Management suite, across the company's Nordics, Baltics and Russian operations.

Under the terms of the contract, Kewill will deploy its global transport management software, Kewill Transport, and global electronic customs software, Kewill CustomsXchange, to deliver a fully integrated solution. The implementation will be rolled out rapidly to 600 users across Itella's Nordics, Baltic states and Russian operations, including Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Russia.

The solution will provide Itella Logistics with one central system to book, manage and monitor the complete shipment lifecycle for all the shipments it handles to and from the Nordics, Baltics and Russian region each month, including ensuring compliance with individual countries' customs requirements and EU-wide initiatives such as import, export and NCTS, by submitting the required documentation and exchanging information electronically with local customs authorities in real time. This will not only improve productivity and reduce operating costs, but allow complete and accurate visibility of account activity by customer, which is crucial to support the company's ambitious plans for growth in the region.
