Wesupply, a provider of outsourced business-to-business integration services, has announced that one of Europe's leading manufacturers of pet food products, C&D Foods, has signed an agreement for Wesupply's fully managed EDI solution, OneTime.

Although experienced in using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to automate communications with customers, C&D Foods had outgrown its existing EDI capabilities and wished to consolidate electronic trading on one platform, while also integrating EDI with their ERP system.

"By outsourcing our electronic trading to Wesupply we have been able to consolidate our EDI onto one platform, cut our VAN charges, and at the same time continue to fulfil our customers EDI requirements", says Rosalyn Donnelly, IT Manager at C&D Foods. "We chose to outsource to Wesupply as they had previous experience of integrating with our ERP system, which was an important element of the project. The company also had some great customer references and a fixed price commercial model which suited our business".

By choosing Wesupply, C&D Foods will benefit from full electronic trading with its customers, reduced overheads and a lower total cost of ownership for the future.

"C&D Foods has a clear understanding of the benefits that come from centralising its electronic trading and we are delighted to be working with them to achieve this" says Andy Watts, Sales Director at Wesupply. "The company has recognised that there are significant gains from outsourcing EDI; freeing up internal IT resources, reducing overheads and having a fixed price solution for a given period."

C&D Foods join a growing number of CPG suppliers who are using Wesupply to trade electronically with their customers, including G&J Greenall, Produce World, Capespan and Fine Lady Bakeries.  Leading retailers including Sainsbury's, Screwfix and Poundland, also effectively manage their supply chains using Wesupply's intelligent EDI solution to trade with their suppliers.
