Ortec, provider of advanced planning and optimisation solutions, has launched a business unit dedicated to implementing the latest SAP Supply Chain Execution (SCE) applications.

With the launch of this dedicated business unit - Ortec Consulting for SAP solutions,  a practice in Heidelberg (Germany), which focuses exclusively  on the implementation of SAP Logistics solutions - Ortec is demonstrating the importance it attaches to creating an independent SAP strategy and furthering its partnership with SAP AG. One of the main focal points of the business will be implementation projects for the latest SAP Transportation Management software (SAP TM, version 8.0).

"With SAP TM, SAP AG is able to offer its customers a fully integrated and robust transport management system. As a ramp-up-partner of SAP for SAP TM, Ortec is able to offer the market a unique combination of extensive experience in the implementation of SAP Logistics solutions and expertise in transport logistics planning and optimization ", explains Henrike Bachthaler, who has been working as Director of Operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the DACH region) for Ortec's new business unit, which was set up in early 2011.

"As a long standing partner of SAP, we are proud to be able to support, since ramp-up, the new version of SAP TM," states Timo Klemm, SAP Alliance Senior Director at Ortec. "We have provided intensive SAP TM training for our business unit consultants and can  support customers also with global implementations of SAP TM which is one of the significant advantages of a worldwide company such as Ortec," adds Timo Klemm.

Due to the extensive experience in numerous successful logistics and warehouse projects over the last 15 years, Ortec is able to offer its clients a high level of competency and reliability. The reason for our success is due to our high level expertise in working with SAP solutions in the transport management and logistics execution areas, and our knowledge of logistics technologies and systems.
