Rainbow Dust sprinkles some magic with APC Overnight

Rainbow Dust, a supplier of cake-decorating products to Harvey Nichols, Waitrose and HobbyCraft, has reportedly doubled its business-to-business sales year-on-year since choosing APC Overnight as its preferred parcel carrier. Working with the local APC depot, ABC Ltd, the Preston-based company sells coloured sugarcraft consumables to customers throughout the UK, through its online store (as well by using traditional sales channels). Customers simply submit orders, with APC looking after nationwide next day deliveries.

"With APC we can ship products to any part of the UK. The reliability of the next day delivery service is important for growing our business, so much so that we are pleased to report that the business has doubled in size over the last three years - and that's during a recession. The service is flawless and it is cost-effective," says Gary Brown, Rainbow Dust Director.
For speedy order fulfilment, Rainbow Dust uses a clever web-based system (NetDespatch Velocity) to book collections and to print dispatch labels. The system also provides parcel tracking and proof of delivery, which helps with answering customer order and delivery queries.
"Before we chose APC Overnight, we'd gone through all the usual channels. We soon realised that APC's unique organisation meant that we'd be dealing with a local depot that understood the needs of other local business that reach out nationally with their products and services. It is a very good fit with our company, and our customers appreciate the high quality of service. This adds to our reputation to provide quality products quickly and efficiently," says Gary Brown.
Rainbow Dust supplies a wide range of decoration glitter and coloured edibles for the cake decorating and baking industry. Its products are available through independent stockists and retailers including Harvey Nichols, Waitrose, HobbyCraft and independent sugarcraft retailers. The company's retail division, Have Your Cake and Eat It, supplies sugarcraft goods directly to the public through its online store.
