Datalogic Automation, a member of Datalogic Group, has been ranked second best in the world of industrial barcode scanners with laser and vision technologies. This is the result of a recent market survey presented by VDC Research Group, Inc. (VDC), the independent American market research and strategy consulting firm acknowledged as the main source of information for the Automatic Identification and Data Collection industry.
The results published by VDC do indeed put Datalogic in second place in the worldwide ranking for its line of industrial scanners, with both laser and vision technologies for the year 2010 (source: 2011 VDC Research Group, Inc AutoID & Transaction Automation Volume 2: Stationary Scanners- www.vdcresearch.com).
This exceptional result obtained by Datalogic is thanks not only to the fact that the company has doubled its sales as opposed to 2009 of industrial scanners with vision technology, for which it even wins first place in the EMEA area (Europe, Middle East and Africa), but also to the fact that its growth is higher than the market rate, also for scanners with the traditional laser technology.
