Zetes has appointed Alex Driesen to the role of Senior VP North Europe, with responsibility for developing the company's businesses in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Nordics. Alex will succeed James Hannay, who, after many years with Zetes, has departed the company to embark upon a new career challenge.
Alex Driesen has been a member of Zetes' executive leadership team for many years. Combining strategic insight and operational leadership, he helped the company to achieve its current leading position within the European market.
Most recently he was attached to the CEO as Vice President of Corporate Strategy, where he was, amongst other things, responsible for leading international initiatives to further enhance the Group's position across both the Goods ID and People ID activities. Prior to this, he held various senior management positions within the group, both in field operations, as Country Manager for Belgium and in Corporate HQ. Alex has degrees in engineering and in business administration, studied in Belgium and the United States, and is a graduate of the AMP program of the Harvard Business School.
In addition to his career with Zetes, Alex Driesen has been a non executive director and board member of several not for profit organisations in Belgium.
"On behalf of everyone in Zetes Northern Region, we are delighted to welcome Alex Driesen and look forward to working closely together in the coming year," says Steve Binder, Senior Director for Sales and Marketing at Zetes Northern Region.
"I am very much looking forward to taking up this new challenge and to lead a strong team of some of the most highly skilled and driven people within the Zetes Group. In the end, it is the people that make the difference," says Alex Driesen. "Given the innovative profile of Zetes, I am particularly happy to work in the Northern region, where some of the best run companies rely on us to get a better grip on their supply chain operations, always pushing us to the next level."
"Alex Driesen brings a wealth of experience to Zetes Northern Region, his skillset is exactly what the company needs as the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries embark on the next phase of business growth." says Alain Wirtz, CEO of Zetes Group. "We would also like to take this opportunity to thank James Hannay for his many significant achievements in the Northern Region and wish him all the best in his future career."
