The CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) is inviting visitors to June's Logistics Link Live show, 8-9 June at the NEC, to join them in a series of free taster seminars covering some of today's most vital logistics issues.  Topics covered on each of the two days include understanding the key elements of efficient Warehouse Management; a cost-effective set of techniques to improve Supply Chain Awareness; an update on Carbon emissions, how they affect the industry and the latest legislation, and advice on how to develop a career-long plan of Continuing Professional Development.

The new conference programme introduced in February's Logistics Link exhibition was so successful that there was standing room only for many delegates, and with an even more extensive range of topics, demand for the Logistics Link Live sessions may be even higher.  The two day programme will address issues such as Maximising cost reduction and operational efficiences, Optimising warehouse processes, Logistics procurement, Eco-friendly logistics, How to Benchmark warehouse operations, Supplier/customer collaboration, Customer-driven supply chains and Reverse logistics.

As well as the CILT seminars, Logistics Link Live has even more to offer visitors with more new features, attractions and live displays.  Running alongside Subcon 2011, the show has additional appeal for manufacturing and assembly executives, and for the first time the RTITB is inviting all currently NORS registered counterbalance operators and RTITB registered instructors along to their stand 237 to take part in 'THE SAFE AND VICTORIOUS' forklift operating challenge.

Exhibitors will be presenting the latest in technologies, solutions and products, providing the ideal platform for logistics managers to select the tools needed to run a productive, cost-efficient warehouse and distribution operation.

Top-VOX will be showing its newly launched pick-by-voice software topSPEECH-BlueMaster, designed to make voice picking easier and safer. OBS Logistics has two new products on display - Calidus TTM, a web-enabled Supply Chain inventory tracking system, and Calidus Vision, a configurable dashboard displaying key performance and operations information. Orion Consulting will be releasing a new version of its PathFinder software, while NBA Consultants will show how easy it is for non techies to use its straightforward QlikView platform, using real time data to integrate with any business software platform.  Schoeller Arca Systems will be presenting new developments in returnable transit packaging including the new 'Clever Move' foldable distribution container.

Along with 50 live demonstrations over the two days, the Logistics Manager conference and the Buyer Networking Lounge, Logistics Link Live promises to be the most time-effective exhibition for the logistics industry of the year.

Entry to the show and the popular seminar programme is free but visitors are recommended to book well in advance.
