East Midlands businesses are being invited to attend a free breakfast at Leicester's Highpoint Conference Centre on Friday 18 March 2011, to learn more about resource efficient design and to access support in improving sustainability issues in the manufacturing and retail development supply chains.

Hosted by De Montfort University (DMU), the Green your supply chain in manufacturing and retail event takes place between 8.30am and 11am, and is free for small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the East Midlands.

SME's can learn how to integrate environmental considerations into new products and retail environments, and discover how to save both carbon and money through resource efficient design.  Delegates can also learn how to 'green' their supply chain whilst winning more business and find out about other product development and innovation funding currently available.

The event will take place as part of Innovation, Advice and Guidance, which is delivered by DMU and part-funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda). Innovation, Advice and Guidance is part of the Government's Solutions for Business portfolio of business support products and services.

For more information or to register for a free place, contact Holly McCain at DMU, email hmccain@dmu.ac.uk or call 0116 250 6238.
