Rothley, one of Europe's leading distributors of decorative steel tubing, DIY and hardware products, has selected Barloworld Supply Chain Software to provide a software solution to improve inventory management and enhance customer service.

Barloworld Supply Chain Software (SCS) will help Rothley to enhance efficiency, through heightened stock management, and to improve customer service, with the implementation of Optimiza Inventory Planner software, from 2011.

Steve Jacques, Managing Director of Rothley, says "We anticipate that the Optimiza Inventory Planner will help us to improve stock turn and proactively prevent excess stock in the supply chain.  With improved inventory forecasting, we hope to enhance efficiency and levels of customer service."

Further objectives for Rothley, through the implementation of the Barloworld SCS Software, include range management, demand management forecasting, improved order cycle process, visibility of supplier performance, purchase order management, excess management and space generation.

"Due to the number of products that Rothley imports from the Far East, we also hope that Optimiza Inventory Planner will help to drive more cultural change in the business, by improving information systems and introducing automation" Steve adds.

Colin Ward, Managing Consultant for Barloworld SCS, says "We have a wealth of experience in working with businesses that operate in the hardware industry and understand the challenges faced.  The Barloworld SCS Optimiza product will bring a number of benefits to Rothley's operation, to enhance efficiency and improve supply chain performance".

Rothley supplies products to retailers, DIY multiples, furniture manufacturers, builders' merchants and wholesalers.
