Specialist planning and scheduling software company, Preactor International, has announced a global partnership agreement with Apriso. This highly integrated APS / MES solution will better serve the unique needs of globally distributed manufacturers by simplifying and streamlining how production processes are planned, executed and managed.
Apriso's FlexNet is an enterprise Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that delivers a platform for global manufacturing operations management, helping its customers to achieve and sustain manufacturing excellence. Preactor Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) solutions have long been recognized as a vital component in manufacturer's strategies to improve their bottom line through lower inventory and work-in-progress levels, as well as achieving higher efficiency and better on-time delivery performance.
As a result of this partnership, Preactor APS solutions can now be implemented as an embedded component within Apriso's FlexNet Manufacturing Execution System (MES), which includes applications to manage production, warehouse, quality, maintenance and other operations. Manufacturers implementing this new solution can improve efficiency, reduce inventories, lower costs and achieve greater quality for a lower total cost of ownership.
Eric Green, Vice President for Partner Solutions Strategy for Apriso, comments on the partnership. "Our combined solution provides a more robust alternative for those manufacturers seeking a planning and execution system that operates autonomously from their Enterprise Resource Planning, or ERP system. This partnership expands our value proposition by offering Preactor's world-class scheduling capabilities as an embedded capability."
"The combined benefits of MES and APS are greater than the sum of their parts," said Mike Novels, CEO of Preactor International. "Users of Apriso's FlexNet MES system now have an opportunity to use Preactor to add still further to their manufacturing management and agility which in turn adds to their competitive advantage."
