TXT e-solutions TXTPERFORM2008 Supply Chain Management suite received a "Positive" rating in Gartner's "MarketScope for Sales & Operations Planning, 2009."

The report has a worldwide scope and assessed 12 vendors. The score was calculated according to Gartner's evaluation criteria which encompass market understanding, product strategy, geographic strategy, overall viability, innovation, product/service and customer experience.

According to the MarketScope: "Gartner defines an S&OP software application as a discrete set of capabilities that can support the key steps of an integrated, global S&OP process. [] A new reality for S&OP is emerging, and along with it the tools and technologies required to support this key business process. Companies recognize that a good S&OP process is key to helping them manage through turbulent times. [] The ability to manage performance and evaluate what-ifs will be increasingly important as a means to improve the value derived from S&OP processes. The market for S&OP solutions looks set to grow at around 15% to 20% per year for the next few years."

Alexandria Rumble, Global Product Marketing Director at TXT e-solutions, says: "We are extremely pleased with this Positive rating. This is a strong acknowledgement that our vision for S&OP and of the types of decisions Supply Chain professionals make today and will make in the future are accurate and this will keep guiding our product development strategy. In the current economic climate there is more and more pressure to make the correct decisions and run a cost efficient Supply Chain."

TXTPERFORM2008's intuitive capabilities help cross-functional teams move away from fire fighting to a more fact based decision making approach and therefore able to contribute to business performance. The solution delivers specific strengths in providing a truly collaborative and workflow based approach to collecting inputs from sales, marketing, finance and Supply Chain - within a single tool. Additionally sophisticated what-ifs, scenarios modeling and supply and demand balancing capabilities are sited as providing true integration across the enterprise. Performance can be measured concurrently with plan execution to enable immediate identification and resolution of issues. In addition, with an Excel user interface adoption rates are expected to be slashed.

TXT customers' are seeing the benefits. Chiesi, an international pharmaceutical manufacturer with revenues of 749MEUR in 2008, saw inventory levels reduced by 15% and a 30% improvement in MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) within a year of the roll-out of TXT's S&OP solution in two countries. In its 2nd year and following the successful roll-out to additional geographies, Chiesi reported a further 15% reduction in inventory and additional 20% improvement in MAPE across all live regions.

Over 700 companies in CPG, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, fashion & apparel, retail and manufacturing are managing their supply chain processes with TXT technology.
