BCA Group the advanced caravan wiring systems and electrical components manufacturer and supplier is investing over 100,000 in a fully integrated, remotely managed manufacturing solution from K3 Business Technology Group (K3).

BCA Group chose the SYSPRO ERP system as part of the organisations inward investment programme in automation, mechanisation and facilities to enable further efficiencies.

SYSPRO will replace BCAs existing business system, giving the organisation superior levels of control over its manufacturing, accounting and distribution operations. The new system will incorporate all areas of the business and provide instant visibility to important management information.

We were aware that we could gain a clearer view of our processes with a fully integrated ERP system. We spent a lot of time and effort reviewing the market, eventually selecting a fully managed SYSPRO solution following visits to other K3 customer sites to see the system in action, says Wim Batist, BCA Group owner and MD.

We expect SYSPRO to make a huge difference to what we do. The MRP function for example, will give us tighter control over Bills of Material, Which is important as we source components from all over the world. The new system will help balance lead times with manufacturing deadlines, he adds.

K3 Managed Services performed a full review of BCAs existing IT architecture and provided a tailored solution to maximise software performance and enhance IT functionality. This specialist division  will also manage all IT for the company through its advanced monitoring and maintenance solution K3 Sentinel.

Together with the SYSPRO software, K3 will also supply a new cutting edge server and will upgrade our desktop systems. The advantage of contracting K3 Managed Services to manage our infrastructure means we do not have to worry about our IT - we simply use it, says Wim Batist.

Established in 1981, BCA Group manufactures a complete range of caravan electrical and electronic systems. Its customers include Bailey Caravans, Lunar, Coachman, Elddis and Adria. BCA Group is an ISO 9000 organisation and provides 12 volt and 230 volt electrical systems, plastic components and control systems. Company MD Wim Batist has caravanning in his blood, having been in the industry for over 40 years.
