Jungheinrich acquires stake in leading software company

Materials handling specialist Jungheinrich has acquired a significant stake holding in ISA-Innovative, a leading warehouse management systems software company.

In recent years Jungheinrich has co-operated with Austria-based ISA on several large systems projects across Europe and by acquiring part of the company, Jungheinrich has expanded its software capabilities significantly.

Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management of Jungheinrich AG, commented: "By acquiring a stake in ISA, Jungheinrich is increasing its software expertise decisively and significantly strengthening the strategic position it has in the increasingly complex field of logistics systems. In doing so, we are investing in a field of business that is growing fast - even in the current difficult economic times."

Steve Richmond, general manager of Jungheinrich UK Ltds Systems & Projects Division, commented: This is an excellent strategic move for our company. Software solutions such as warehouse management systems and materials flow systems are a crucial component of any materials handling solution and critical to any projects success regardless of whether the solution is manual, semi-automated or fully-automated.

Our relationship with ISA enables us to offer an entire range of software platforms to ensure the maximum possible return on investment for our clients.
