A new version of Trimbles web-based solution has been launched, claimed to dramatically improve the efficiency of fleet managers team and customer service. GeoManager is the latest release from Trimble, provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions. Capable of monitoring fleets of any size, GeoManager is an advanced tracking and telematics solution providing easy-to-read, customisable reports, along with a choice of enhanced mapping for vehicle and job location and the option of integrated vehicle diagnostics.
As well as real-time data about driver location and activity, GeoManager highlights additional information such as whether vehicles need servicing, how many are stopped, moving or inactive at any one time and also has a cluster function to identify closely located vehicles and landmarks. For integrated vehicle diagnostics, GeoManager can be implemented using the Trimble Driver DNA box - otherwise known as the TVG 660 - which draws information directly from the vehicle. With this, fleet managers can view Co2 emissions, accurate mpg and even vehicle faults in real time.
Available in an easy-to-view, standard web browser format, GeoManager gives fleet or service managers total visibility of their workforce to allow a complete understanding of what is happening out in the field and exactly how it is happening. Using GeoManager gives our customers the full picture of their field service organisation. With new, more comprehensive reporting it is easy for organisations to view, measure and then manage efficiency and productivity from the back office, said Andrew Yeoman, MD of Trimble EMEA.
Yeoman continued: By highlighting differences between what was planned to happen and what is actually taking place out on the field, GeoManager not only improves performance and profitability but also helps to ensure our customers meet their customer commitments. With British Gas and BT as GeoManager customers Trimble has continued to develop a solution to meet the needs of modern fleet management and this new and improved version with its additional functions only serve to support that goal.
