Plex Systems, Inc., provider of manufacturing ERP software, has announced that global automotive supplier Inteva Products, LLC has completed the launch of Plex Online at 14 of its global locations, including sites spanning two continents, four countries and four US states.

Inteva, a tier one supplier of interior systems, cockpits, closure systems, and window lift systems, selected Plex Online to replace SAP as its enterprise resource planning (ERP) manufacturing solution provider following a competitive global search. Inteva is utilising all core Plex Online modules including production, financials, purchasing, and supply chain management.

Plex Online now provides Inteva employees around the world with strategic insight into day-to-day operations from the shop floor to the top floor and across all of its departments, divisions, and facilities. It makes consistent and integrated business information accessible to all workers, contributing to improved continuity, agility and adaptability. In addition, Plex Online's quality management system helps Inteva achieve continuous improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste throughout the supply chain.

Migration of 14 Sites From SAP to Plex Online Completed in 12 Months

Inteva, formerly a division of Delphi Corp., selected Plex Online in June of 2008 to replace the SAP software utilized by its former parent company. In January, Michigan-headquartered Inteva launched Plex Online in its European Headquarters and Technical Center in Wuppertal, Germany, and its Matamoras Operations Plant 2 in Matamoras, Mexico. This was followed by launches at its two manufacturing facilities in Alabama in April. The remaining launches were completed in June at all of Inteva's other locations: two additional locations in Mexico, two additional locations in Germany, a site in Hungary, three locations in Michigan, one in Ohio, and one in Missouri.

"Unlike most ERP launches I've seen, our migration to Plex Online was completed smoothly and quickly," said Dennis Hodges, Inteva chief information officer.

Hodges continued: "The speed of this launch was especially remarkable given the complexity of integrating data from many different locations. Even though we just completed the launches, we have already realised operational cost savings from Plex Online. We've been able to significantly reduce the ongoing costs of running our systems. Our other main goal with this large-scale change was increased flexibility, and we are definitely experiencing that. Plex Online has brought us a consolidated view of the world through which all management can access the same information, produce the same reports, and make critical business and operational decisions more quickly. All data is integrated, and the team can view critical information through a dashboard in real-time."
