VAI implements manufacturing and distribution solution for large equipment supplier

VAI (Vormittag Associates, Inc.), a leader in enterprise solutions for the distribution, manufacturing, retail and service industries, and an IBM Premier Business Partner, has announced the successful implementation of its S2K Enterprise for Manufacturing and S2K Enterprise for Distribution software for NAFECO.

The Decatur, Alabama-based company sells firefighting equipment, EMS equipment, public safety supplies, uniforms, protective apparel, firefighter gifts and police gifts. NAFECO has the largest outside sales force and the largest in-stock inventory of firefighting equipment in North America, which it distributes from six warehouse facilities throughout the Southeast.

With this new software, NAFECO now has the means to coordinate operations for the six warehouse locations onto a single, fully integrated system, with real-time data visibility. Notably, VAIs S2K Enterprise for Manufacturing helps NAFECO to minimise costs and maximise profitability in a modern, easy-to-use, cost-effective materials requirement planning (MRP) solution that delivers a real return on investment (ROI). Additionally, S2K Enterprise for Distribution is a comprehensive software suite that provides companies with the power to simplify business operations, manage the supply chain, reduce costs and improve customer service.
