HellermannTyton, a global leading provider of cable management products based in Manchester, has gone-live with Agile Logistics Solarsoft Business Systems warehouse and logistics solution.
The implementation was the final stage in a new company-wide finite capacity production and distribution process, which will allow to HellermannTyton to run with zero inventory and therefore negate the need for expensive warehouse facilities.
Bob Harris, Site Director at HellermannTyton, comments, Solarsofts Agile Logistics was one element of many for the new logistics and warehouse process, but one with which almost every other element had to integrate, making its success critical. As such, we had extremely tight schedules with little or no room for error as the complex collection of projects that comprised the full system had to be delivered on virtually the same day.
Harris continues, Potential delays in servicing the customer are always a critical concern for businesses when implementing new technology, but nonetheless, through excellent planning and forethought, Solarsofts solution was fully implemented according to schedule, allowing us to complete the full integration of the new logistics system over the designated weekend and be shipping out to our customers on the following Monday the key measure of success.
