Kuehne + Nagel, a leading global logistics provider, is supported in its business growth by the Duty Management software solution from RedPrairie Corporation, a world leading consumer driven optimisation company.
The solution delays payment of all Customs duties & VAT until the latest possible time, usually after the goods leave the warehouse, enhancing Kuehne + Nagels ability to run bonded warehouses, a service it successfully offers to its customers. Currently, Kuehne + Nagel runs the solution for its fast moving consumer goods and drinks logistics divisions, which are part of its Contract Logistics business. The offering has been extended to include the technology division, thus enabling electronics suppliers and manufacturers to benefit from the solution.
Paul West, IT Solutions Director, Kuehne + Nagel, said, To run a bonded warehouse, you need to meet HM Revenues & Customs legislation, and software and processes need to comply with the strict regulations. RedPrairies software is approved and recognised as the leading Duty Management solution, and having already implemented RedPrairies Warehouse Management solution, we knew they had the capability to deliver.
Martin Hiscox, Vice Chairman of the Board, Managing Director and President International, RedPrairie, said, We are delighted to be working with Kuehne + Nagel. Our solution offers Kuehne + Nagel a competitive edge, by providing cost savings to its customers as well as enabling Kuehne + Nagel to enjoy the benefit of our constant upgrades and development in this area.
