Independent advice and searchable resources help manufacturers simplify the purchase of ERP, CRM and Logistics software and services

Conjungo, the independent technology information resource and search engine of ICT providers, already hosts more than 400 ICT suppliers specialising in the manufacturing industry on its new site, which launched on 1 October.

The manufacturing industry is an area where we have received a lot of interest from users of our beta services and the launch of the new website contains details on over 400 ICT suppliers who focus on this area, comments David Cruse, CEO, Conjungo. Based on cross referencing our database with multiple directory listings, we estimate that this equates to approximately 75% of the UK providers with ICT products and services aimed at manufacturing.

Conjungo allows users to search for suppliers based on products, services, regional coverage and skill set as well as a wealth of guides on key technology areas and web-based sales tools.

By providing all the tools needed to help a buyer understand a technology, find appropriate suppliers and create a tender, Conjungo aims to simplify the procurement process and create a level playing field for the benefit of the buyer, adds Cruse.

Key suppliers of products that have proven popular within the manufacturing industry have also committed to join the portal. The initial list of 20 suppliers who have added channel partner details include thin client terminal manufacturer Wyse, ERP software provider Progress Software, accounting, business management software provider Mamut and remote access specialist Citrix.

Mick Paddington, Senior Product Marketing Manager, small midsize business at Citrix explains, Conjungo does exactly what vertical search should do deliver meaningful results. It enables buyers to identify a range of solution providers by using specific search filters based on their buying criteria, producing a comprehensive selection of the most appropriate resellers.

Conjungo allows buyers to quickly compile a shortlist of suppliers to approach and assures that a supplier is properly accredited with its technology vendor. Conjungo has the approval of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, The European Institute of Purchasing Management, The Communication Managers Association and the UK Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff Greenleaf, Managing Director for Surrey Envelopes, part of Groupe Hamelin one of Europes top three envelope manufacturers took part in the Conjungo beta trials: We used Conjungo in a recent project to find a list of suitable ERP suppliers as we were replacing our aging ERP System. Our need was to source ERP suppliers capable of delivering a solution that took in 50 sites across 25 countries and Conjungo significantly reduced the time it would have taken us to find a supplier as well as helping us to generate the right procedures for assessing a suppliers suitability to the task.
