Intermec has announced that Daimler FleetBoard GmbH, provider of telematics-based Internet services for state-of-the-art vehicle and logistics management, has selected the Intermec CN3e rugged mobile computer for its new DispoPilot solution.
FleetBoard uses the CN3e mobile computer to support the logistics management processes of transport companies. Once an order has been transmitted to the truck drivers cab, the DispoPilot can incorporate the pickup or delivery address directly into the navigation system. Beyond the mobile communication capabilities, the device is also utilized for freight tracking and can be used upon delivery for on-site scanning and acknowledgement of receipt of goods.
