Zetes launches 3iV Crystal

Zetes Industries, a company that ranks among the leading providers of value-added solutions and services for the automatic identification of goods and people, has launched 3iV Crystal, the new generation voice solution. 

Industrial voice recognition solutions are the latest technological revolution in the identification sector. As voice is without a doubt the most natural interface for users, it is an excellent means of improving their performance and optimising a large number of supply chain processes. The applications extend from order picking (in the warehouse) to shipment, as well as inventory, restocking and returns processing. Not forgetting receiving, putaway and the movement of the pallets. Now the benefits they can generate in these fields are tried and tested, clients are keen to discover their possibilities in new applications and new vertical markets. At the same time, the market, which has today reached maturity, is on the lookout for more options, more functionality and turnkey professional solutions. With the launch of 3iV Crystal, Zetes is equipped to meet these expectations. Using its far-reaching experience, gained with the implementation of over 500 voice projects, Zetes has developed its new generation voice solution to offer easy integration, a more extensive range of tools and a choice of user interface (voice, scanning, display, keyboard, etc) in any mobile application. Thanks to this approach, 3iV Crystal is optimised to be used both with voice applications on dedicated equipment (constant use of voice as the exclusive interface) and with applications that make partial use of voice with multimodal applications (use voice as one of several user interfaces in order to obtain optimal results).

Clients still tend to opt for voice dedicated solutions, although a significant growth in multimodal solutions is expected. In fact, these will allow new applications in new markets. 3iV Crystal is capable of responding to all the options that are open to the user with a single integration, thus making it possible to avoid any costly development. The voice solutions can be used on the Vocollect, Motorola, Intermec and LXE platforms.
