Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, has announced the expansion of its current partner programmes and partner ecosystem with the introduction of the new comprehensive Wonderware Innovation Partner Programme.

This comprehensive partner program was developed in response to customer and partner demands for increased collaboration in the delivery of innovative, yet sustainable real-time operations management solutions for a wide range of vertical industries.

With distributors operating in more than 150 countries and a system integrator (SI) network of greater than 3,000 SIs, Wonderware claims to have one of the largest partner ecosystems in the industry, and it is now being expanded by this new programme.  The Wonderware Innovation Partner Programme is focused on enhancing the integrated value, scope and capacity of solutions delivered to customers and is designed to facilitate improved collaboration and innovation among partners and Wonderware.  Participation in the programme is encouraged across the entire Wonderware solution partner ecosystem which includes leading software and hardware companies, solution providers, SIs and strategic alliances with some of the largest IT, ERP and automation players in the industry.

Wonderware already has an extensive and capable channel and partner network in this market space, and this programme should evolve its ecosystems capabilities to address an even broader range of operations management solutions for customers, said Craig Resnick, director of manufacturing research at ARC Advisory Group, an industry research firm.

Companies participating in the Wonderware Innovation Partner Programme will use the Wonderware System Platform software as the foundation for implementations of customer automation and information projects.  Wonderware System Platform, which is built on open, industry standards based-ArchestrA technology, provides a common software environment for Wonderware and partner solutions to achieve management of real-time operations that include HMI, SCADA, MES and EMI applications.

The three relationship tiers in the Wonderware Innovation Partner Programme include Registered, Certified and Endorsed, with Endorsed being reserved for the closest business relationships.  Endorsed partner offerings are promoted, sold and have first-line support provided by the Wonderware distribution network.  Certified and Endorsed members of the new program also benefit from technology sharing, joint marketing and business development, sales support and Wonderware overall knowledge and expertise in the marketplace.

Wonderware wants to provide customers and partners with the ability to extend their innovation capabilities, said Mark Davidson, vice president of global marketing.  By having partners and customers use this common software platform and toolset, they can accelerate their pace of innovation, ability to differentiate and capability to collaborate and re-use solutions across the extensive Wonderware ecosystem which includes more than 4,000 companies.

The first partners that have exceeded Registered and Certified requirements, and have been invited to be Wonderware Endorsed Partners include Mtelligence, Kepware and Software Toolbox. Kepware Technologies, a leader in communications for automation, expands the breadth of Wonderware device communications options.  In conjunction with Kepware, Software Toolbox also was selected to provide extended support on the Kepware products.

Wonderware is a world leader in automation and information software and we are extremely honoured to have been chosen for such a critical relationship, says Roy Kok, vice president of sales and marketing at Kepware.  Kepware will be working closely with Wonderware to develop a seamless integration to maximise ease of use and deployment of the combined solution.

John Weber, President of Software Toolbox Inc. adds, We are honoured to be chosen for this elite partnership level in the Wonderware Innovation Partner Program and look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Wonderware, their channel, and their clients. Wonderware choosing Software Toolbox to provide support services for the new Wonderware branded products from Kepware is a testament to the value and expertise that our team brings to clients around the world.

Mtelligence is a leading provider of maintenance intelligence solutions that link plants and businesses.  The companys flagship product, MIMOSA Interop Server (MIS), enables Wonderware customers to seamlessly integrate plant floor systems with the leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo, Infor Datastream, AssetPoint Tabware and Indus EMPAC.

Achieving Endorsed Software Partner status is enabling us to greatly extend our market awareness in the worldwide Wonderware sales channel and its 100,000 plant installed base, commented Paul Rahilly, CEO of Mtelligence.  With this partnership, we have accelerated and deepened our collaboration with Wonderware to help their customers improve asset performance by integrating the plant floor into maintenance management systems.

An additional resource to the Wonderware Innovation Partner Program is the recently announced Wonderware Developer Network.  This service is an on-line collaboration Web site available to all partners and customers participating in the Wonderware Customer First support program.
