Datalogic Automation has announced the availability of the Matrix 200 2D imager.

This new imager is claimed to be able to read all standard 2D or linear bar codes at high speed, offering excellent reading performance, industrial strength and comfortable ease of use in a compact size.

Designed to satisfy the needs of several market sectors, Matrix 200 is available in two models: straight and with 90 reading window, all equipped with WVGA image sensor, serial and USB interfaces. Thanks to this feature Matrix 200 allows flexible mounting and positioning in narrow spaces.

Matrix 200, with its high resolution image sensor, advanced lighting system and powerful decoding libraries, provides excellent reading performance and reliability on a wide range of code symbologies as well as damaged and low quality bar codes.

Thanks to the intuitive X-PRESS interface, a simple function available in all new Datalogic Automation products, installation and maintenance are easier than ever. A multi-function push button allows setting all relevant functions such as test mode, aiming, automatic imager calibration and code setting.

The rugged full metal construction, IP65 protection class and max operative temperature of 50C make Matrix 200 the ideal product for industrial applications.
