UK specialist distribution software house Strategix has completed the initial phases of a contract with Wolseley UK's Electric Center business to supply and implement its OneOffice software package.
Electric Center started life as a new brand for Wolseley UK following the acquisition of AC Electrical Wholesale and William Wilson in 2006. Today the division has a rapidly expanding branch network with over 100 branches nationwide and many more scheduled to open over the next few years.
Following the formation of Electric Center, Strategix has worked closely with the Wolseley IT team to complete an initial roll-out of OneOffice across the whole branch network as well as the head office in Leamington Spa and the central finance operation in Aberdeen.
Future phases of the deployment see OneOffice implemented to manage all aspects of Electric Center's extended supply chain. This comprehensive approach will facilitate the benefits typically enjoyed by OneOffice customers such as reduced cycle times, optimised stock holding, rapid replenishment and a strong customer focus.
Already Electric Center has sales in excess of GBP140 million making it the fifth largest electrical distributor in the UK with the goal to triple sales over the next five years.
