Agility systems wins new contract with technology distributor Westcon Group

Northeast-based Agility Systems has won a major contract to provide specialist software solutions to Westcon Group, one of Europes leading IT distribution companies.

The Agile Logistics Suite, which will be implemented over the next six months, will be installed at Westcons distribution centres at four European sites: two in the UK, one in Germany and one in Holland, to improve the efficiency of the companys operations and supply chain management.

Agility Systems specialises in ERP systems enhancements to extend functionality in warehousing and logistics. Established in 1995, the firm implements these solutions to a wide range of clients all over the world and has extensive knowledge of warehouse efficiency, logistics and information management as well as supplying warehouse optimisation solutions, efficiency monitoring and full transaction controls. The company also specialises in supply chain execution over multiple ERP systems including SAP, JD Edwards, Navision, INFOR System 21and BPCS.

Westcon is a specialty distributor of advanced technology products, presenting a range of services, support programs, training, and additional tools to help make its customers more profitable and competitive in advanced technology markets. The distributors portfolio comprises products from some of the world's leading security, network and communications equipment vendors, including Cisco, Avaya, Nortel, Juniper and Polycom.

The Agile Logistic Suite purchased by Westcon will help automate certain processes, improving accuracy and overall efficiency--which in turn will benefit Westcons growing customer base.
