The Smurfit Kappa Group, one of the worlds largest integrated manufacturers of paper based packaging, has selected the OMP Corrugated Board System for its corrugated plants in order to improve delivery reliability, shorten lead times and optimise its production capacity usage.
A successful start up of a cluster of two sites in Spain in the first week of January marked the start of the roll-out to all corrugated plants in Spain and Portugal over the next 16 months. Other projects running in parallel are a roll out to the integrated plants in France, Ireland and Germany, in addition to upgrades and extensions of existing implementations.
