The International Cricket Council implements Epicor Enterprise Resource Planning Solution

Epicor Software Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, has announced that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has successfully completed implementation of its Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution.

Headquartered in Dubai, the ICCglobal governing body for crickethas already begun to realise the benefits of the Epicor iScala solution, achieving significant cost and time savings across its organisation.

The ICC selected Epicor last year, to streamline the sports bodys budgeting, analysis, tournament accounting and overall financial management functions.  The solution, Epicor iScala, is a comprehensive end-to-end suite of proven industry-specific solutions for divisions and subsidiaries of Global 1000 corporations, as well as large local and regional companies worldwide.

It was important for us to leverage the advantages enterprise technology brings at a time of dynamic growth for the ICC, Faisal Hasnain, chief financial officer of the ICC, commented on the successful implementation of the Epicor solution.  Epicor has strengthened our financial management by giving us a clear end-to-end control over funds flow and its administration as the ICCs operational footprint expands rapidly in line with the growth of the game of cricket.

Elaborating on the benefits, Hasnain added that following the implementation, the ICCs business efficiency has improved tremendously across all its functions.  The benefits have been across the boarda marked improvement in report generation, user-friendliness and, in the case of budgeting, it is beneficial that the Epicor solution allows us to forecast and compare on our budget base, he said.

The ICC moved its global Headquarters to Dubai in 2005 at a time of rapid rise in commercial revenues from the game.  The ICCs International tournament business model has been reviewed recently and the fundamental change includes greater direct responsibility for delivering the event, unlike earlier when host countries were allowed greater autonomy. Moreover as part of the restructuring process we have expanded considerably, with growth in staff and a larger geographical footprint. Epicors support has been very timely and we are confident that we will gain even greater benefits from the iScala solution in the years to come, said Hasnain.
