ERP vendor XKO Software rebrands as Solarsoft and heads out onto the acquisition trail

Solarsoft Business Systems Limited, (formerly XKO Software Ltd) a UK market leader in specialist Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for merchants, distribution and manufacturing businesses will extend its product range through further acquisitions over the next 6-12 months, building on its Open Services Architecture to offer customers fully integrated systems across front and back office operations.

Solarsoft is targeting a range of point solution vendors with turnover in the range of 3-20milion. The acquisition plans form part of the newly rebranded companys strategy to provide SME merchants, distribution and manufacturing businesses with best-of-breed products and services, offering supply chain integration, e-commerce and process automation through a single source.

Shawn McMorran, CEO of Solarsoft, says, The re-brand of the company heralds a renewed emphasis on us actively seeking to acquire point solution vendors that have innovative technology and are keen to expand their business by becoming part of our solutions portfolio. Solarsofts market position in Europe has been built over 25 years of meeting customer needs for systems to manage finance, inventory and production in businesses ranging from independent builders merchants through fast moving consumer goods distributors to high-tech engineering firms. The company has grown organically and through acquisition since its formation from the merger of KSE and Xavier Computer Group in 1999.

McMorran continues, The Internet revolution has transformed customer buying expectations and this shift in consumer behaviour and expectation is being felt throughout the supply chain. As a result, there is a growing demand from SME manufacturers for modern, open systems that will enable them to operate more efficiently, whilst improving customer service and maximising profits. Solarsoft has sales revenues of over 25m ($50m) and 300 employees serving 1,500 corporate customers from 12 offices spanning North America, Europe and Asia.
