UnIQue ID, the automated data capture and mobile computing specialist has signed a contract to supply Dolphin 7900 mobile computers with integrated GPS from Hand Held Products to ByBox, the UKs premier in-night delivery network.
With over 1,400 drop off points across the UK, including state-of-the-art electronic locker banks, ByBox specialises in the overnight delivery of parts and equipment for mobile workers such as engineers and sales people, ensuring all deliveries are completed by 8am each day.
ByBox has always employed the very latest technology in order to provide high levels of customer service and traceability to its customers, equipping all drivers with a handheld computer to track collections and deliveries. Having previously deployed Dolphin 7200 units for this purpose, ByBox has recently upgraded to the state-of-the-art, robust Dolphin 7900 model with integrated GPS tracking and GSM/GPRS functionality, loaded with software designed specifically for the application by ByBoxs in-house team of specialists.
The Dolphin 7900 mobile computers include GPS tracking functionality, fitting the specific requirement of ByBox to be able to accurately track all shipments and deliveries.
The new system will be used by drivers for tracking package collections from customers and deliveries to various drop off points around the country, as well as being used to assist in package sortation at distribution centres in the UK, France and Ireland.
